Literature, History & Linguistic - Chinese Studies

Introduction

Chinese study is a course that focuses on the study of the use of Mandarin and its use. At present, the Chinese courses in our country can be divided into two categories, which are Chinese linguistics and Chinese literature. Chinese linguistic focus on the training of the research and language usage, so that students may build deep-seated language ability and be able to master the Chinese linguistics theories. Chinese literature gives priority to the discussion of the ancient and modern Chinese literature theory, knowledge and work. This intended to train students to master a certain length of appreciation, analysis, research and writing skills. Through this program, students will be trained in four aspects of language skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing to ensure students can communicate effectively. Students will understand the characteristics of the Chinese language, the relationship between language and culture, and improve their writing and speaking skills by reading and appreciating classical and modern texts along with commenting on current global affairs.

Literature, History & Linguistic - English Studies

Introduction

English studies are disciplinary that focus on the study of English and its use. The English studies in our country are differentiated into the English language linguistic and English language literature. English language linguistic emphasizes on the study of English language and language training, therefore, not only solid and profound language ability, students could master theoretical knowledge of English language and literature, as well as its research and analysis methods. On the other hand, English language literature focuses more on literary theory, knowledge and art piece from ancient to modern times to train students mastering a certain extend of appreciation, analysis, research and writing skills. Students will carry out English language training, including the pronunciations, tone and speed of speaking in specific conditions. Besides, students will probe into the artwork, culture and history to discover further the meaning and pronunciations of vocabularies. Apart from fluent communication and significant writing skills, students will be able to recognize English society and culture, while mastering this language may bring proficient interpersonal and communication skills to the students.
