Introduction

Counsellor education is a course that fosters teachers with professional psychological skills. Students need to study fundamental education and counselling classes at the same time, while mostly to counsel the teenagers. Students will learn to assist the youth to explore themselves through some motivational events and counselling of their career planning. The counselling session also helps to build up positive personalities and values of the adolescents, in addition, to enhance their abilities to cope with the challenges in their lives and pursue their dream.

Graduates may register with the Lembaga Kaunselor under Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat to be a certified counsellor. They may work as tutors in schools, or as counsellors in government departments, or psychological counselling departments, private company personnel, social welfare institutions, educational organizations, orphanages, drug addiction centres and prisons.

Introduction
