Type of Universities/Colleges


  • China has 2,500 higher education institution, but only 458 of them accept international student, which include “University of 211 Project” and “University of 985 Project “
  • University of 211 Project is a policy implement by China Ministry of Education, which focus on developing more than 100 higher education institution; while University of 985 Project was the extended policy from University of 211 Project, which focus on some of the universities to assist them to become top universities in the world.
  • These higher education institutions provide Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree courses. The courses open up for international students apply are liberal arts, sciences, engineering, business, agriculture, medicine science and design courses.
  • Students may also chose to study in Technical College for their Diploma certificate, and further study in University for another two years to get their Bachelor’s Degree certificate.

  • Technical College study duration from 2.5 to 3 years (include industrial training), September intake for every year.

  • UEC, STPM, and A-Level graduates can be used to apply to China Higher Education Institution.
  • SPM graduate must go for pre-university either in Malaysia or in China.
  • Technical College accepts SPM graduate.
  • International Students normally will require to have HSK Test, and achieve 4 to 6 grade Mandarin Level. UEC graduates can be exempt from the HSK Test.

Procedure of Study in China

Step 1: Do research and find suitable colleges.
Search on the internet about the university information, seek for education counselor assistance.

Step 2: Fill in and submit application to respective colleges.
Different University having different intake timing, some of the intakes will fall on September to December, but some of the intakes will fall from February to June.

Step 3: Get your official offer letter.
You will get your offer letter once they accepted you.

Step 4: Apply for student visa.
Once you received your offer letter, apply for a student visa immediately to prevent any late submission. Some of the university or college will assist students to do the student visa.

Step 5: Get yourself ready.
Once your student visa is approved, prepare yourself and find accommodation immediately.from
